On June 23, 2026, a team of social workers from LifeCare Children & Women Empowerment Initiative (LCCWEI) carried out a routine monitoring and support visit to two of our beneficiary families: the Adewale family and the Ashwel family.
As part of our holistic approach to child and family empowerment, the visit focused on assessing the children’s educational progress, family wellbeing, and living conditions. Our team visited the schools attended by the children, where they engaged with teachers and reviewed academic records to gain a clear understanding of the learners’ performance and overall development.
We are pleased to share that both children have shown remarkable academic improvement and continue to perform well in their studies. Their progress is a testament to their determination, the support of their families, and the impact of ongoing mentorship and educational assistance provided through our programs.
Beyond academics, our social workers spent time with family members, offering professional guidance, encouragement, and support. The discussions provided valuable insights into the families’ current circumstances, challenges, and achievements. The team also assessed the home environments to ensure that the children continue to live in conditions that support their growth, safety, and wellbeing.
Encouragingly, both families reported positive changes in their households and overall quality of life. These developments reinforce the importance of regular follow-up visits, which help us identify emerging needs, celebrate progress, and strengthen the support systems surrounding each child.
At LCCWEI, we believe that empowering a child goes beyond supporting their education. It involves nurturing stable families, promoting healthy living conditions, and creating opportunities for long-term growth and success. Our routine monitoring visits are a vital part of this mission, allowing us to walk alongside vulnerable children and families as they work toward a brighter future.
We remain deeply committed to ensuring that every child under our care has the opportunity to thrive—not only in school but also in life. Through partnership, compassion, and consistent support, we continue to bring hope, empowerment, and lasting change to the communities we serve.
