Love is said to be a powerful thing that holds the world together. No one can downcast for being showered with love. People feel loved through different reactions and also love through different doings. Love cannot be simply defined, it ought to be practiced. Jesus Christ gave a perfect example of the doings of love by laying down His life for us and dying for us to have life in abundance. Apostle John tells us that we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers just as Jesus did for us. He goes ahead and says, “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:17-18). This tells us that we do not need to define love for ourselves and that there is no limit on generosity.
The Lifecare Children & Women Empowerment Initiative (LCCWEI) has taken the love initiative to the practical level by doing just as the Apostle says. LCCWEI has intentionally decided to put smiles on vulnerable children’s faces across West Africa. Since the organization was founded, children and women from poor families have gained hope for life and a better future. Through palliative care services, educational support programs, teaching and counseling, and financial aids, several families such as the Ashwel’s and Divine Basil’s families have uplifted their hopes in life.
In LCCWEI, we purpose to rise the hope of vulnerable families through love. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t boast. We want to show kindness to as many families as possible and make them feel loved with the hope that these actions will reciprocate throughout their lives. Acts of love can never be enough and will never go unrewarded. People have to show love every day of their lives. This is why we call upon well-wishers and humanitarian organizations to hold hands and impact the world through acts of love.
