Nurturing and seeing the less fortunate achieve a fulfilling life is one of our dreams at Lifecare Children and Women Empowerment Initiative (LCCWEI). This dream has pushed us to dedicate our efforts to starting and following up caregiving practices for needy children and women. Over the years, LCCWEI has enrolled families to palliate and educational aid to enhance their lives. Not only does the organization spot the needy families, but it also gives consistent care and follows up to ensure what is offered is adequate and effective. We have practiced accountability to see that the resources and dedication yield a positive outcome as an organization.
At the beginning of term, LCCWEI Lagos goes through spot checks and family assessments to ascertain their growth and academic performance in their respective wards. We also conduct family visits to assess their stability at home, feeding, welfare, and parents’ Job status.
On 09/05/2022, LCCWEI social workers in Lagos visited wards under the out-of-school project scholarship scheme at Ayobo Ipaja, Lagos. It was an emotional outing. Two families were visited and three students were assessed. They are all doing well in their academics, soaring above average in their class term assessment. The visited families were delighted by the visitation and the care offered to them in the last two years. They were overwhelmed by tears of joy as they expressed their gratitude to the organization.
It is always a great privilege to exercise caregiving practices with such people. It is our hope to expand our reach and provide aid to more families from West Africa to the rest of the world. We call upon well-wishers, sponsors, and volunteers to lend a hand in the effort to fulfill LCCWEI’s dreams and vision. The next spot check Visit will be on Monday 15/05/2022 at Ijegun satillite Town Lagos.
