We understand that life is not the same with everyone. People are living under horrible conditions and a lot more require swift interventions to live. Over the years, Lifecare Initiative has been consistent in making life worth living for a few within their reach. We succeeded in Paying the school fees of five out-of-school children within Lagos drawn from Ijegun Oriade Local council area, Baruwa, Ayobo, and Alimosho.
The first two girls have been under LifeCare Initiative scholarship since the 17th of January 2019 after their father was electrocuted while working for a private firm in Lagos. During the pandemic and Christmas season, they received food items from the LifeCare Initiative. Two more girls were taken last month in February when Lifecare discovered that they were out of school after their father abandoned them to marry another woman because they were all six girls without a son. In addition, a boy was rescued in the same month and placed back in school after being away for six months due to his father’s stroke ailment. A total of 118,000 Naira was paid this month for the 5 children, including their school tuition, common entrance examinations, and books for those that are in dare need of exercise books and textbooks.
We can achieve much more in making our society a better place if we have more support from individuals and corporate organizations. A single child rescued and placed back to school is a hundred steps forward to a better community and society.
