LCCWEI is a non-profit organization that sees value in everyone. Dr. Lucy established the organization to educate indigent women and children by empowering them through rehabilitation, psychosocial support, and creating awareness on the dangers of maternal and child neglect. The organization desires to be a catalyst for positive change. Since its beginnings, it has been driven by the same ideas of support, empowerment, and progress. Our Mission

Through this organization, we have the opportunity to end preventable deaths among all women, and children and to greatly improve their health and well-being. LCCWEI believes that investments in prevention, health care, and education last a lifetime.

It is without a doubt that environmental and social factors such as access to health care and early intervention services, educational, employment, and economic opportunities, social support, and availability of resources to meet daily needs influence maternal health behaviors and health status. The greatest motivation of the LCCWEI organization is then to deliver health-related services to pregnant women and infants and to also advocate for their health. There is an increase in the number of women seeking care during childbirth in health facilities and it is therefore important to ensure that quality care provided is optimal.

Our Vision

LCCWEI is a non-profit organization that strives to deliver health-related services to promote the wellness of both pregnant women and their young ones. This organization will provide services that will include aspects of family planning, pre-pregnancy, prenatal, and postnatal care to limit maternal mortality and morbidity. The organization will also provide services to orphans, vulnerable children on the street, women who are in need of psycho-social support, shelter, and general empowerment (skill, vocation, education); so as to refocus them to useful living rather than a life of crime and deviant behaviors.
